Option Two: Richard Petty Driving Experience. Ride-Along Program Experience real life racing thrills from the passenger seat as you ride shotgun in a two-seat stock car driven by a professional instructor. (3 Laps)

Option Three: YOU DO THE DRIVING. Richard Petty Driving School
Your hands are on the wheel, your foot is on the gas, and you're in the driver's seat for eight laps around the speedway in a 358 cubic inch V-8 NASCAR style racecar that roars with 600 horsepower. Prior to driving, students will go through two elements of safety and instruction training: in-car and on-track. After driving like the "King," students will receive a graduation packet that includes a time sheet with a breakdown of each lap driven. The program is three hours; the memories last a lifetime.

9:00 a.m. Check-in for riders and drivers
11:30 a.m. Wrap up Driving Experience
Noon Lunch at Speedway Club, members-only exclusive dining, with panoramic view of the track
1:30 p.m. Depart for Hendricks Motorsports for behind-the-scenes tour of race shops of Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and others. Browse through gift shop.
3:00 Depart for hotel
Lunch, tour and transportation $75 per person.

Ride-Along (lunch, tour, transportation) $175 per person.

Driving School (lunch, tour, transportation) $499 per person.

Friday, October 2. Winery Tour

We'll tour the Richard Childress Winery, a 35,000-square-foot facility that is inspired by the Italian Renaissance architecture of rural Tuscany. The winery's opulent interiors and state-of-the-art wine production center is designed to be a highly interactive experience. On your tour you'll get to see, hear, smell and experience the winemaking process.

After the tour, we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in one of the elegant areas of the winery. Following lunch, we will participate in a wine tasting, sampling the various award-winning Childress wines. After browsing the retail area, we will return to the hotel.

9:45 a.m. Depart hotel
11:15 a.m. Behind the scenes tour of the winery
12:00 noon Lunch buffet at the winery
1:30 p.m. Wine-Tasting
2:30 p.m. Depart for hotel
3:30 p.m. Arrive back at hotel
$89 per person. This includes deluxe motor coach transportation to the winery, tour, lunch, and wine tasting. An escort/guide will travel with you for the day.

50% deposit required by August 1. Balance due September 15.

  • You must be at least 14 years old to participant in the Ride-Along experience.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that will be comfortable under the suit.
  • The cars do not have doors, so participants must have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground.

    Don't forget about our ever-popular raffle baskets! Due to the generosity of the Colt Ladies, we always have more baskets than the previous year. We don't want that to change this year so don't forget to bring your items with you. As always, proceeds from the ticket sales go to a good cause. The winning tickets will be drawn at Saturday's banquet.
